The Opportunity
We are seeking a Section Waiter/ Barista, on a part-time basis to deliver an outstanding coffee experience and elevate the dining experience at ANTARA. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical coffee expertise with a passion for hospitality and who also enjoys working in the restaurant. This is a service-oriented role that combines coffee making, hosting, section waiting, and wine service. This role is perfect for someone with barista experience who is eager to develop their skills in both restaurant management and wine.
You’ll work closely with our management team and bakery to ensure a seamless service and uphold the high standards that define our brand.
Whilst in your role you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring that each customer has an exceptional experience.
Your day-to-day:
Craft coffee, espresso drinks, teas and other beverages to customer specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
Greet customers, providing friendly and prompt service.
Provide recommendations and answer any questions about the menu.
Operate POS system including EFT and cash payments.
Keep work environment clean, organised and well-stocked.
Restock necessary barista or bakery items where required.
Our successful candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Section Waiter in a fine dining environment or restaurant of similar calibre.
Proven experience as a Barista in a venue of a similar calibre and a love of good coffee.
The ability to effectively showcase food, wine, and spirits to guests.
Excellent communication skills.
Pride in the service they deliver and a strong work ethic.
A high level of emotional intelligence to deal with a diverse range of guests and anticipate their needs.

The ability to multitask and keep your cool in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.
A valid Victorian RSA.
