Mayflower is seeking a friendly and reliable Barista / Café Allrounder to join our team. This role plays an important part in creating a welcoming café environment for our residents, visitors and employees, while delivering high-quality coffee, food service and excellent customer care.

About the Role

As a Barista / Café Allrounder, you will be responsible for preparing a range of coffee beverages, supporting café operations, and maintaining a clean and welcoming service area. You will work closely with the Café Chef Manager and contribute to providing a positive experience for residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee beverages including lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, espressos and long blacks

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Take customer orders and process payments using POS systems

• Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised café environment

• Monitor and restock café supplies and food items

• Operate and maintain coffee machines and related equipment

• Ensure food handling and safety standards are maintained at all times

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Experience working in a café or hospitality environment

• Strong coffee making skills and familiarity with espresso machines

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• A positive and reliable work ethic

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid Police Check

• Food Handling Certificate

• Full COVID vaccination

Desirable

• Barista qualification

• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) accreditation
