About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Baristas to join our retail café team at Port Melbourne.

These roles are suited to baristas who thrive in a quality-focused, fast-paced café environment, take pride in their craft, and enjoy delivering exceptional customer service.

You’ll be working alongside a supportive team, producing consistently excellent coffee while contributing to a smooth and professional service experience.

What’s on Offer

• 20–30 hours per week (flexible for the right candidate)

• Daytime hours only – no late nights

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing high-quality coffee using commercial espresso machines

• Dialling in grinders and adjusting extraction for consistency

• Delivering friendly, efficient, and professional customer service

• Handling busy service periods confidently (including working solo when required)

• Operating POS and processing transactions

• Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards

• Working collaboratively with front and back-of-house teams

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year experience in a local Australian café

• Strong barista skills including:

  • Dialling in grinders

  • Consistent espresso extraction

  • Confident latte art

• Ability to perform under pressure in busy service periods

• Experience working within a small barista team

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Availability across weekdays and weekends

• Current Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Full Australian working rights
